Configuration Change

Configuration Change

Based on the different billing modes of the host, if configuration changes occur, the description of the user's bill and refund/extra charge situation is as follows.

Prepaid

If the current host's billing method is prepaid (including yearly, monthly, and hourly payments), an order is generated immediately when a configuration upgrade/downgrade occurs. The new order's duration is from the time of the upgrade to the end of the original order. After you confirm the need to supplement/refund the payment, the new configuration takes effect immediately.

For example: Suppose you purchased a host configured as 1 core 1G, prepaid annually, the start time of the resource order is: March 1, 2021 9:00 - March 1, 2022 9:00, then at 9:00 on March 2, 2021, you upgrade to a 2 core 4G configuration, the system will generate a new order at 9:00 on March 2, 2021, the order start time is: March 2, 2021 9:00 - March 1, 2022 9:00, the order amount is the amount you need to supplement.

Postpaid

If the current host's billing method is postpaid, the configuration takes effect immediately when an upgrade/downgrade occurs. When generating orders every hour, charges are separately calculated based on the duration of use of the new and old configurations.

For example: Suppose you purchased a host at 9:00 on March 1, 2021, with a configuration of 1 core 1G. At 9:30 on March 1, 2021, you upgraded the configuration of this host to 2 cores 4G. Then, at 10:00 on March 1, 2021, the system will generate two orders. One is for the configuration of 1 core 1G, with the start time being from 9:00 to 9:30 on March 1, 2021. The other is for the configuration of 2 cores 4G, with the order start time being from 9:30 to 10:00 on March 2, 2021. The hourly price you need to pay is = (hourly unit price of 1 core 1G) * (30/60) + (hourly unit price of 2 cores 4G) * (30/60).
