Reliability

File storage adopts a three-replica mechanism, with replicas deployed across cabinets, ensuring immunity to single-machine and single-disk failures. It can reconstruct data according to the priority of replica reliability, guaranteeing a controllable MTTR. The product provides a data reliability guarantee of 99.999999%.

High Elasticity

The file storage supports elastic scaling, and the scaling is imperceptible to applications using file storage. It supports a maximum capacity of hundreds of PB levels (for the space limits currently open in various regions, please refer to the Product Limits section).

Sharing

Through mount points, file storage products allow any host within the same VPC to access a specified file system, enabling data sharing. There is no limit on the number of hosts that can mount a file system, making it more suitable for scenarios requiring data sharing among a large number of nodes.

File storage also supports access from various host products in public cloud, physical cloud, and managed cloud, providing a unified data sharing method for services deployed in hybrid multi-scenario environments.

Usability

File storage products can be easily created, expanded, deleted, and managed (including mount points) through the console. Since file storage supports NFS and SMB protocols and is fully compatible with POSIX semantics, applications based on POSIX can seamlessly connect to the file storage product. Various file system management tools can be used directly without any changes to existing development and operation habits.
