Automatic Renewal
1. Automatic Renewal Rules
To enhance the consumption experience, starting from June 27, 2019, the renewal logic for prepaid resources has been adjusted as follows:
Annual and monthly paid resources (except anti-DDoS products) will be automatically renewed within 24 hours after expiration. If the renewal fails, they will be recycled. Hourly paid resources (except anti-DDoS products) will be automatically renewed within 1 hour after expiration. If the renewal fails, they will be recycled.
For the convenience of settlement, starting from May 5, 2019, the renewal cycle for automatic renewal has been adjusted as follows:
For monthly prepaid resources (except anti-DDoS products), when the balance is sufficient, the first automatic renewal will extend to the end of the month, and subsequent renewals will be based on calendar months. For example: If a monthly renewable network resource is about to expire and the first automatic renewal is performed on May 15, 2019, at 17:58, the system will automatically renew it until 00:00:00 on June 1, 2019. Each subsequent automatic renewal will be based on the calendar month, and the next renewal cycle for the resource in the example will be from 00:00:00 on June 1, 2019 to 00:00:00 on July 1, 2019. For hourly prepaid resources (except anti-DDoS products), when the balance is sufficient, the first automatic renewal will be aligned to the whole hour. To avoid business impact caused by system recycling, hourly resources with automatic renewal not enabled will be enabled by default after manual renewal.
If the available balance in the account is insufficient during renewal, the automatic renewal operation will be postponed to the next day until the renewal is completed.
If the renewal is still not completed when the resource expires, overdue arrears orders will be generated daily. After recharging, the renewal will continue from the previous cycle and these orders will be revoked.
2. Enable “Automatic Renewal Switch”
After you purchase a product, you can view the “Automatic Renewal Switch” for this resource in Cost Center > Renewal Management
When the “Automatic Renewal Switch” is enabled, the system will automatically renew the resource for you when it is about to expire, provided that your account balance is sufficient. It should be specifically noted that automatic renewal will be processed according to the previous configuration and duration. If the account balance is insufficient, the system will fail to deduct the fee when the resource expires, and the resource status will be displayed as “Expired”. You can perform “Manual Renewal” after recharging.
Example 1: You purchase a UHost with specified configurations for 30 days on May 8th, which costs 120 yuan. If you enable the “Automatic Renewal Switch” during purchase, the system will automatically renew it on June 7th when it is about to expire.
Example 2: You purchase a UHost with specified configurations for 30 days on May 8th, which costs 120 yuan. You enable the “Automatic Renewal Switch” during purchase, but your account balance is insufficient to cover the payment when the system attempts to deduct the renewal fee on June 7th, resulting in a deduction failure.
3. Turn off “Automatic Renewal Switch”
When the “Automatic Renewal Switch” is disabled, the resource will automatically enter the arrears state after expiration. The system will remind you of the resource expiration and renewal matters. At this time, the system will not release the user’s resource, and the user can renew it through “Manual Renewal”, with the option to reselect the renewal cycle during the process. If the user does not recharge and perform “Manual Renewal”, the fee deduction will fail, and the resource status will be displayed as “Expired”.
Example: You purchase a UHost with specified configurations for 30 days on May 8th, which costs 120 yuan. After purchase, you disable the “Automatic Renewal Switch”, so the resource will enter the arrears state on June 7th when it is about to expire.
