WordPress is one of the most popular content management systems (CMS) in the world, known for its ease of use, powerful features, and flexibility. CyberPanel is a control panel based on OpenLiteSpeed, providing an intuitive interface to manage websites and servers. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to install and configure WordPress on CyberPanel, helping you quickly get started with your blog or website.

Step 1: Prepare Your CyberPanel Server

First, ensure that CyberPanel is installed on your server. If not, you can download it from the official CyberPanel website and follow the installation instructions. CyberPanel supports Linux servers and can be installed via SSH.

  1. Log into your server with root privileges.
  2. Run the following command to install CyberPanel: bash <(curl -s https://cyberpanel.net/install.sh)

Once the installation is complete, you can access the CyberPanel dashboard via your browser, typically at https://your-server-ip:8090.

Step 2: Install OpenLiteSpeed

WordPress requires an efficient web server to deliver fast load speeds, and OpenLiteSpeed is an excellent choice as it integrates seamlessly with CyberPanel and offers better performance compared to traditional Apache.

OpenLiteSpeed is installed by default with CyberPanel. If it's not installed, follow these steps to enable OpenLiteSpeed:

  1. Log into the CyberPanel dashboard.
  2. Go to Websites > Create Website.
  3. During the website creation process, select OpenLiteSpeed as the web server.

Step 3: Create a WordPress Website

In CyberPanel, you can easily create a new website and set it up for WordPress.

  1. Log into the CyberPanel dashboard.
  2. Click on Websites > Create Website.
  3. Enter your domain name, username, and password, and choose the PHP version for your website. Make sure to select a PHP version compatible with WordPress (PHP 7.4 or higher is recommended).
  4. After creating the website, click Manage to access the website management panel.

Step 4: Install WordPress via CyberPanel

CyberPanel offers a one-click WordPress installation feature, making the setup process quick and easy.

  1. In the website management page, click Install WordPress.
  2. Fill in the required administrator information, such as username, password, and email address.
  3. Click Install, and CyberPanel will automatically install WordPress for you.

The installation process should take a few minutes. Once complete, you can access your WordPress admin dashboard at http://your-domain.com/wp-admin.

Step 5: Configure WordPress

After installing WordPress, you can log into the WordPress admin dashboard to configure it further:

  1. Go to http://your-domain.com/wp-admin to log into the WordPress dashboard.
  2. In the WordPress backend, you can choose a suitable theme, install plugins, and configure your site's basic settings.
  3. After configuring your site, you can start creating and publishing content.

Step 6: Optimize WordPress Performance

To ensure your website loads quickly, it's recommended to install performance optimization plugins. For instance, use WP Super Cache to cache static pages or Autoptimize to optimize JavaScript and CSS files. Additionally, CyberPanel integrates OpenLiteSpeed caching, which can further improve site load speed.

Step 7: Ensure Security

WordPress is a popular target for cyberattacks, so securing your website is crucial. It's recommended to install security plugins like Wordfence Security to protect your site from attacks. CyberPanel also provides SSL certificate features to enable HTTPS, which improves both security and SEO rankings.
