To enhance security, SurferCloud allows you to restrict access to your account by setting up an IP whitelist. Here's a step-by-step guide for configuring it on the master account (parent account).

1. Feature Overview

  • Applies to master account only: This setting is only effective for the main account. For sub-user restrictions, please go to User Settings.
  • Access control behavior: Once the whitelist is enabled, any login or API request from a non-whitelisted IP will be blocked.
  • Default state: All IPs are allowed access by default.

2. How to Set It Up

Step 1: Log in to the SurferCloud Console

Go to SurferCloud Console and log in using your master account credentials.

Step 2: Open Security Settings

Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner and select Security Settings.

Step 3: Edit Access Control

Find the Access Control section and click Edit.

Step 4: Add Whitelisted IPs

Enter the IP addresses you want to allow. Use commas to separate multiple entries.
Example: 123.45.67.89, 98.76.54.32

✅ Tip: Add your current public IP to avoid locking yourself out. You can check your IP at https://ip.sb

Step 5: Save Your Changes

Click Save. The settings will take effect immediately.

3. Important Notes

  • Avoid lockouts: Be careful when applying the whitelist to avoid blocking your own access.
  • Sub-users not affected: This whitelist applies only to the master account. Use User Settings to configure sub-user access.
  • Dynamic IP users: If your IP changes frequently, consider delaying whitelist activation or using a dynamic DNS solution.

For managing access of sub-accounts, please navigate to User Settings separately.
