Virtual Private Cloud

A Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) is a logically isolated network environment that belongs to the user. Within a VPC, you can create a VPC with a specified network segment, create subnets in the VPC, and manage cloud resources independently, while implementing security protection through network ACLs. The VPC provides users with the following capabilities:

  • Custom network segments: Three types of network segments can be freely combined, and VPC network segments can be added or reduced at any time.
  • Comprehensive network management: Gateway NAT, custom routing tables, network ACLs, and internal virtual IPs can all be freely configured by the user, and rules can be set according to needs.
  • Subnet across availability zones: Subnets can cover any availability zone within the region, achieving disaster recovery across availability zones.

Virtual Private Component

A Virtual Private Cloud includes components such as VPC, subnet, NAT gateway, and network ACL:
VPC: A VPC is a logically isolated network environment that belongs to the user. In a Virtual Private Cloud, you can create a VPC with a specified network segment, create subnets in the VPC, and manage cloud resources independently.
Subnet: To scientifically and effectively divide the address space within the VPC, it is divided into finer-grained network segments. These independent network segments are called subnets.
NAT Gateway: The NAT gateway is an enterprise-level VPC public network gateway that allows cloud resources in the subnet that are not bound to an elastic IP to access the external network. It can also configure port forwarding rules to enable cloud resources to provide services to the outside world.
Network ACL: It is a subnet-level security policy used to control the data flow in and out of the subnet. Users can precisely control the traffic in and out of the subnet by setting outbound rules and inbound rules.
Routing Table: The routing table is a VPC-level product that can control the network traffic path of cloud resources. A routing table consists of multiple routing rules and takes effect on all resources in the subnet by binding with the subnet.
